The family desired to restore the ancestral mansion for multi-generational living without altering its historic character, replacing original timbers with steel, or violating ancient Thachu Shastra rules.

Master Sthapathi A.B. Sivan conducted a full structural audit. Analysis revealed that previous unscientific masonry additions had obstructed the Western Padinjattini air vents and caused uneven load distribution on the central timber rafters.
4. Traditional Shastric Reasoning
According to Thachu Shastra and Tantra Samuchayam, removing load-bearing timber members without calculating Ayadi Shadvarga integrity causes energetic disharmony. Traditional mortarless wooden joinery (Darukarma) was required to restore natural tension.

- Dismantled damaged roof sections and replaced degraded rafters with seasoned teak timber crafted using authentic mortarless interlocking joints.
- Restored the open central courtyard (Nadumuttam) drainage channel to manage heavy monsoon downpours.

- Applied traditional lime, egg white, and herb plaster to allow walls to breathe naturally.
